ELIZA ROSE KANE
I am a dreamer–my art is bringing these dreams to life and my body, once my nemesis, has become my most valuable gift.
A writer. A teacher of breathwork and creativity. A thought provoker.
Using breathwork meditation, movement and creative expression, I play with weaving together the esoteric and the scientific to create experiences that inspire people to dive into a deeper understanding of themselves and this world we operate in.
The work I shares, while fun, will push your capacity for growth, challenge your limiting beliefs and ultimately take you to a heightened level of awareness.
Raised in New York, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from James Madison University in Virginia, followed by a career for several years as a fitness and wellness expert. My intrigue around well-being along with my own challenges in facing my personal demons, lead me towards the healing arts, where I was introduced to breathwork meditation. Breathwork became the catalyst for a journey of self discovery and a fascination with the complexity and brilliance of our human existence.
For over a decade, I have trained with healer David Elliott, a pioneer in the breathwork/healing space.
In 2012, I pioneered the development and nurturance of the first consistent breathwork meditation class in Venice, CA. This class gathered together and advanced some of the current top breathwork practitioners in the LA area.
In 2014, I moved to Aspen, CO where I experienced the challenge and growth of bringing this practice to a completely new community that was unfamiliar with any form of this work. One of my greatest successes with this, was when I was asked to bring the breathwork meditation practice into the Aspen Jail System. Teaching a weekly class to inmates became a highlight of mine.
The Aspen community served as the impetus for me to begin interweaving binaural beats into my playlists, eventually creating a new one of a kind experience involving the combination of breathwork + binaural beats.
Recently, I have come full-circle and have found my way back to New York, where I am currently working on finishing up my memoir; a very honest version of my own personal healing journey. I teach online experiential breathwork events that are accessible to people all over the world, and I continues to develop and innovate new workshops and classes. There are a few other very exciting creative projects that I have in the works and I look forward to sharing them with you in the near future. So keep on the lookout!
