The Plateau.

Maybe...things are feeling a little repetitive...maybe there has even been an inkling of boredom or the thought, is this ever going to end. If you’re in the process of up leveling your life in any capacity, or preparing for some big change, the plateau is inevitable. Hold steady. You are about to reach a whole new vista.

Consistency is your best friend right now.

Happy almost Spring! Okay maybe not quite yet....

Happy almost spring!  Okay so maybe not quite yet, especially for you mountain folks!

However, the Spring Equinox is quickly approaching.  March 20th to be exact.  And in less then two weeks is daylight savings time, which while I don't look forward to getting up earlier, I do look forward to the extra day light and I know it will support and energize me.

With more light, often comes more movement.  Movement is definitely something our busy society is very used to.

I too, love movement and these last few weeks of consciously reminding myself to stay in the winter energy of slowing down and going inward, has not always been easy. (the last email shared more about that)

Because I love movement so much, as soon as I get the first inklings of spring, I'm ready to jump from the gate and set off into a full sprint.  For me, this inevitably leads to a crash and burn, because without a warm-up and easing in to a quicker rhythm, I find it not to be sustainable.

In light of this knowing, I often use the breathwork as a way to manage my energy along with helping me move larger amounts of energy without becoming overrun or overwhelmed by it.

The breath is designed to pull you down into your body.  When you are breathing deep into the body, you are present, alert and decisive.  You act with discernment instead of acting simply to act.

So put on some music you love and get your breathing on!

For March, all my breathwork offerings will be online.  The schedule is below.

Tonight is an open Q + A, where before I get to answering questions, I will be speaking on the topic of the importance of clearing fear from your nervous system.

It's complimentary and all login info can be found HERE

PS.  If you are in the mountains, enjoy the sparkly snow!  I always love the way the snow displays the light.

Consistency supports integration...

We teach what we desire to learn. We create what we desire to experience.

With Patreon, I have developed an online breathwork membership to create ease and accessibility in encouragement of people (myself included) bringing consistency to the practice.  The music + the binaural beats are all part of the encouragement to make breathwork more of a priority in people's lives.

Because there truly are about a million reasons why forming a closer relationship with your breath is beneficial!  However today I am just going to focus on one.

Consistency is the secret sauce to the breathwork.

If you really want change to happen in your life AND you really want to experience all that the breath has to offer you, incorporate more breathwork into your day to day life (even just the 10 min meditations will help).

Breathwork not only supports the firing of new synapses' in your brain (creating new thought patterns) it also supports the rewiring of your neural pathways (creating new patterns of action), which leads to you actually becoming all those words you speak about becoming (integration).

So for those that are already members on Patreon, I hope this inspires you to take more advantage of the membership, and for those looking to experience breathwork more regularly, come check out what this membership is all about!

On February 27th's Q + A, I'll be speaking about the importance of clearing fear from the nervous system.  Your first Q + A is complimentary, so invite a friend, and message me if you aren't yet a member and are interested in checking it out.

Looking forward to it all!

Lots of love,

Eliza Rose Kane

Tapping into Creativity

Put down the device, step away from the news and let yourself dream.  Innovation comes from beyond what has already been seen and done.  It comes from allowing yourself to open to something inside of you.

In 2010, I did my first fire walk.  To say it was transformative is an understatement.  The next morning, I wrote my first poem and stepped forward as a writer.

The fire supported me in letting go of the rampant fears running my show. The act of walking on hot coals brought me past the limits of my mind.

My rampant voices had blocked me from hearing the voice of my heart, the seat of my inspiration.  And by moving beyond the limits of my mind, it didn’t seem odd to decide at 26 that I was going to be a writer, even with my background being math and science.

Coincidently, or not, I was asked to be part of a writer’s group, and with my yes began my relationship with creativity.  A relationship I have learned, that operates just like all other relationships, thriving with attention and care.

The more I paid attention to and honored my creativity, the more easily it came.  The more I allowed space for my heart to speak up and shared my voice, the more interesting my creative world became.

The mind is used to running the show and needs lots of encouragement to take a break and open to innovation.

Breathwork meditation is a tool to support the slowing of the mind, allowing space for creativity to enter.   Breathwork meditation is designed for the ever-busy minds of today.  Using the breath to drop us out of the mind and into the heart, breathwork brings forward the ideas and possibility that take one past the ordinary.

“A child has no trouble believing the unbelievable, nor does the genius or the madman. It’s only you and I, with our big brains and our tiny hearts, who doubt and overthink and hesitate.”  ― Steven Pressfield

It’s great to choose moments to become informed and inspired by what is out there.  And it is special to choose even more moments to let yourself dream.  The world is craving your innovation and creativity, so take time and let yourself create.

“We can not solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” –Albert Einstein

My Hike With Creativity

My Hike With Creativity

My relationship with creativity often mimics my relationship to hiking a mountain.

Sometimes I charge full on and exhaust myself before I make it to the top.

Sometimes a slow and steady pace is just what I need.

Sometimes I start with dread, need to rest along the way, or don’t even finish at all.

And other times I am so charged with energy and enthusiasm that I wish there were a second or third peak I could climb.  If it were Everest before me, I would laugh with excitement.

As with the mountain, so it is with creativity.

Always there.

Providing a platform for me to decide how I want to engage that day.

Offering me a variety of terrain.

Calling out to me to come play.

Reserving judgment for the way I show up that day.

Inspiring my life experience to be more.

Every hike is different.

Every day with creativity is different.

No matter what kind of hike I end up taking, I never regret showing up and putting one foot in front of the other.
